WW2 Battle of Britain & France 1938 B Type Flying Helmet.
A good and classic example of the pattern of helmet worn by aircrew during the Battle of France and later Battle of Britain. Polished brown leather, retaining a good untouched colour. Tailored with earphone covers with working original zips. The interior with a H. BEDNALL Size 3 1938 label. The helmet has been fitted with ear donuts or earphone mounts together with brow plate mounts. Both Bennett buckles are still attached. impressed Air Ministry mark and sec/ref 22c/65 on left ear. It is in a very good supple condition.
