The battalion was established on August 26, 1939, in Worms, Military District XII. The 352nd Infantry Replacement Battalion was subordinate to Division 182 and replaced the 246th Infantry Division. On November 12, 1939, the battalion was relocated to Jarotschin in the Warthegau, Military District XXI. On August 19, 1940, the battalion was relocated back to Saarburg in Military District XII. On November 14, 1940, the battalion was relocated to Trier, also in Military District XII. On November 30, 1940, the battalion was relocated to Luxembourg. From June 10, 1942, the battalion was subordinate to Division 172. On October 1, 1942, the battalion was divided into Infantry Replacement Battalion 352 and Infantry Training Battalion 352. On November 7, 1942, the two battalions were renamed Grenadier Replacement Battalion 352 and Grenadier Training Battalion 352, respectively. From January 26, 1943, the two battalions were subordinate to Division 462. On April 1, 1943, both battalions were combined in Luxembourg to form Grenadier Replacement and Training Battalion 352. In September 1944, the battalion was mobilized and assigned to Kampfgruppe Krause with a field post number. It was thus disbanded.
