WW2 GERMAN M-35 STEEL HELMET

RELIC FOUND KURLAND. Lots of Bullet Holes
The M35 Helmet was largely based upon its WW1 predecessor, but with a few modifications for the new image and need of the Wehrmacht forces. They were the first helmets used by German troops at the beginning of WW2. The M35s have a rolled steel edge, later economized on the M42 model.. read more

RELIC FOUND KURLAND. Could be rebuilt (one small hole)
M-42 As the war continued further steps were needed to reduce material and labour costs, leading to introduction of the M42 in July 1942. Following the M40 Helmet stamped air vent, the rim was flared outwards instead of rolled to the inside creating the distinctive lip the helmets lower edge. read more
