The Albert helmet is a metal cavalry helmet in nickle it has some historic damage it has the original lining made in white metal and brass for other ranks complete with all its fittings and surmounted with a spike from which a white hair plume is attached. Worn by the unit from 1847 until amalgamation with the North Salopian Yeomanry in 1879 when they formed Shropshire Yeomanry was formed.
